Murray River Clean Up Day
A morning along the riverbank clearing litter and dumped rubbish, with gloves, bags and a hand from people who know the stretch well.
- Date
- 12 September 2026
- Time
- 9:00am to 12:00pm
- Location
- Victoria Park boat ramp, Echuca
The stretch of riverbank below Victoria Park collects rubbish quietly through the year: bottles, fishing line, packaging and the occasional dumped load. None of it is dramatic on its own. Left alone, it ends up in the water and in wildlife.
What to expect
We meet at the boat ramp, split into small groups and work along marked sections of the bank. Most people stay for the full three hours, but come for whatever time you have. We finish with a cuppa and a look at what came out.
What to bring
Closed shoes, a hat, sun protection and a water bottle. We provide gloves, bags, grabbers and hi-vis vests. Children are welcome with an adult, and there is easy, flat ground for anyone who would rather work near the car park.
No registration needed. If you are bringing a group of more than five, send us a note beforehand so we have enough gear on hand.
Want to come along or bring a group? Get in touch and we will let you know what to expect on the day.
